OpenOffice.org 3.0 is released with many new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.

OpenOffice.org is both a fully-featured office suite compatible with leading office products, and a virtual community working through OpenOffice.orgs numerous projects.

The office suite is free to download, use, and distribute and has a user interface and feature set similar to other office suites.

Sophisticated and flexible, OpenOffice.org also works transparently with a variety of file formats, including those of Microsoft Office, and the vendor-neutral OpenDocument standard from OASIS.

OpenOffice.org features a word processor(WRITER),a multimedia presentation program (IMPRESS), a mathematical function creator (MATH), a Vector Drawing Tool (DRAW), a spreadsheet (CALC), and an easy-to-use database manager with a fully integrated database database (BASE).

Version 3 includes support for Office 2007 files, improvements to the Notes feature, multi-page views, spreadsheets, plus other bug-fixes and updates.
